Abstract
This study aimed to find out the types of figurative language wich is most dominant types and the meaning of figurative language selected song lyrics of Iwan Fals' album" Indonesia Dalam Berita" the design of the research is descriptive qualitative method based on theory by Keraf (2002; 124-145) about kind of figurative language that there are 60 kinds of figurative language but on this research just focuses on 12 types of figurative language that consist of 4 categories.
