Abstract
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using the "Make a Match" learning method in developing vocabulary. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with pre-test and post-test instruments. The results of the analysis show that the Make Match method in teaching vocabulary in grade VI of SD Gmit Kuanino 2 has increased and helped students remember and retain their vocabulary through the Make a Match technique. This can be proven from. (Ha) is accepted, There is an effectiveness of using the 'Make a match' technique on the vocabulary skills of grade VI students of SD Gmit Kuanino 2. The following facts there are 92% who meet the learning completeness criteria (KKM) 60 with an increase in the average student score from pre-test to post-test of 56.8%. In the pre-test, 11 students passed the KKM. Furthermore, the post-test results were obtained from 23 students or 92% of students who met the learning completeness criteria (KKM) with an average vocabulary acquisition of 91.2. So the author can conclude that the use of the Make a Match method is effective in improving the vocabulary skills of grade VI students of SD Gmit Kuanino 2.
