Abstract

.The research questions what are the types terms of address in wanukaka language used for addressing people and how do people one another related to their different social status in the society. The aims of this study asTo find out the types terms of address in Wanukaka language of west Sumba language and To describe the ways in addressing people of high, the same and low status in Wanukaka language of west Sumba language. The data collected from people in wanukaka their daily communication. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The result shows that types of address terms is divide into five addressing name, addressing term using kinship, addressing term using respect, addresingt term using close relationship intimate, addressing term using mockeries.
