Abstract
This writing about total physical response method in improving students’ vocabulary at SD GMIT Kuanino 2, the research problem is does total physical response method improve 5th grade students’ vocabulary mastery. The aim of this study is to know whether total physical response method improve 5th grade students’ vocabulary mastery. In this study, the writer used a quantitative approach to the experimental design because it provides a way to compare groups. The type of experimental design chosen was the control group design by including the pre-test and post-test in the control and experimental groups in determining the comparison of ability level scores before and after being treated. The findings consists of a description of the data, after the data has been collected from the research sample, the data was described. In describing data, it involves data analysis. Then the researcher concluded that the total physical response method could increase vocabulary in grade 5 students at SD GMIT KUANINO 2. It can be seen from the average score of students in the control class pre-test was 30, post-test was 53.6 then in the pre-test experimental class was 37, post-test was 86.4. So the conclusion is the total physical response method can increase students'' vocabulary in the learning process. On the other words the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H1) was accepted
