Abstract
This research is entitled "The Various Teaching Methods Applied by English Teachers at SMP Bina and SMP Satap Bitan." The formulation of the problem in this study is as follows: What are the various teaching methods applied by English teachers at SMP Bina Karya Tuapakas and SMP Satap Bitan? And what are the differences or similarities in the methods applied? This research aims to identify the various teaching methods employed by English teachers at SMP Bina Karya Tuapakas and SMP Satap Bitan. In conducting this study, the researcher used a qualitative method. The instrument used was a questionnaire designed to identify the various teaching methods applied by the English teachers. The findings showed that the teaching methods used by teachers at SMP Bina Karya Tuapakas include five methods: Lecture method, question and answer method, role-playing method, discussion method, and project method. Meanwhile, at SMP Satap Bitan, six methods were applied: Lecture method, question and answer method, role-playing method, discussion method, project method, and recitation method.
