Abstract

The title of this writing is “Reduplication In Tii, A Language Of Rote”. This research is conducted to answer the questions that is: what are the forms of reduplication found in Tii, a language of Rote? To find out forms of reduplication is the aim of this study and method used is qualitative method. In order to get the data, the writer interview four informants of native speakers of Rote Tii. The instrument used in this research is interview and Documentary. The result of the data analysis shows that Tii Dialect has two kinds of reduplication. They are full reduplication that reduplicated all of basic word, for example: Kola~kola ‘talking’, Ninu~ninu ‘drinking, Ngua~ngua ‘sitting. Partial reduplication, for example: Mata~matak ‘various’, lima~limak ‘five each’, faa~faak ‘little by little, mbi~mbilas ‘reddish’. The writer hopes that this writing could give many valuable contributions to build up Reduplication In Tii, A Language Of Rote.
