Abstract

This thesis entitled“an analysis of translation procedures on the book of mark new testament in kupangmalay’’. The translation is extremely beneficial, especially for those who are unable to speak or understand a foreign language. Translation procedures were the tools for transferring meaning from one language to another language.The writer created the research problems as follows: (1) what were the types of translation procedures found in the book of Marks in Kupang Malay? (2) What were the meanings of sentences based on translation procedure found in the book of Marks in Kupang Malay? Aims of the study namely:To find out the types procedures of translation on the bookmark in Kupang Malay, to find out the meanings of sentences based on translation procedures on the book of Marks in the Kupang Malay. In this study the writer use descriptive qualitative analyse, this study the writer found7 types of procedures translation namely: borrowing, calque, literal or word for word, transposition, modulation, equivalence, adaptation.The procedure for translation on the Book of Mark New Testament The most widely used is modulations, adaptations and literal or word for word and types of meaning in translation namely: grammatical meaning, referential meaning, connotative meaning.
