Abstract

This thesis is entitled” Semantic Analysis On Sole Oha Song in Lewobele Village of Adonara Island”. The problems of the study are (1) What are the types of meaning found in Sole Oha song? (2) What is the dominant type found in sole oha song? The objectives of the study are to find out types of meaning in sole oha song. To find out the dominant type found in Sole Oha song. To analyze the data of this study, the writer used the descriptive qualitative method. The instrument used is a documentary (Internet). The result of this research showed that in Sole Oha song there are five types of meaning and one dominant type are found in the Sole Oha lyrics. it is conceptual meaning, connotative meaning, stylistic meaning, collocative meaning, and thematic meaning. There are twenty-four substantial found in conceptual meaning ,i.e. ana, hama-hama ,doan, peten, jaga, lewo, pita, nete, oneng, ina ,ama, jodoh, marin, take, nalan, kila, ,bosa, pana, na’e, suku, ku’at, witi, sare, koda Six substantial found in connotative meaning, i.e lewo pulo, tana lema, miteng gemilin, iru koro, ati ladan, tewo lolon, sita sina, lera wulan. Two substantial found in stylistic meaning, i.e Teti, Lali. Four substansial found in collocative meaning, i,e Benga Olha pai arik saren,sedon miten gemilin, puken lera wulan ta’o jodoh kae, na keropon ata bura manure, iru koro lu’o lolon. Three substansial found in Thematic Meaning i.e Ti na nai sedon,nete bosa wu’ung to’u na’ang neiro, Ti na nete kila na’eng na’ang kuat kemuhang jodoh ra’eng, Na suka sedon ata bura manure. Based on the result of the study, the writer suggests the following. (1) For the theory of linguistics, the result of this study can be good information for the stock of the linguistics theory, especially in semantic analysis on sole oha song in Lewobele village. (2) For linguistics, the result of this study can be good information for the linguistics about linguistics history. (3) Village, The result in this study may become useful information for people in Lewobele village in dealing with the sole oha traditional song and to raise awareness to preserve the traditional song of sole oha.
