Abstract
The problem of this study are what are the types of rhyme in Hase Hawaka lyric? And what are the dominant types of meaning in Hase Hawaka lyric?. The aim of study are to find out the types of rhyme and dominant types of meaning in Hase Hawaka lyrics. Qualitative research is used as a method in this study. The data were taken from four members of the community or in tetun language is called Makoanwhich means speakers. Consisting of village official and descendats of king, in Lasiolat village, Belu regency. Sofyan in hamzah theory of rhyme and leech theory of meaning, are both the main theories for analyzing data. Based on the analysis of the rhyme and meaning of Hase Hawaka lyrics. The writer finds 65 stanza which are classified as 6 continues rhymes, 8 double rhymes, 2 broken rhymes and 3 dominant meaning, all of which include conocative meaning. After describing the rhyme and meaning, the writer hopes that this research can provide information or knowledge about the rhyme and meaning of Hase Hawaka lyric to in society the Fatulotu village, Lasiolat subdistrict, Belu Regency.
