Abstract

This thesis is entitled Improving students speaking skill using YouTube videos at SMP N 1 Kahaungu Eti, Academic Year 2022/2023 in Sumba Regency. The problem of this research is whether students can improves speaking skill using YouTube videos? This study aims to describe YouTube videos as an effective medium to improves English speaking skill and to collect information regarding the use of YouTube videos in the process of teaching and learning English. Data collection was carried out using the pre-test and post-test give to students. The results showed that there were differences in the results of the students' pre-test post-test took from various sources using You- Tube videos. In fact, YouTube video media can not only be adapted for children but can also be extended to all levels of education and allows students to quickly practice their own speaking skill.
