Abstract

The title of this writing is “An analysis on thematic roles in Gospel of Luke of Tetun Belu” the problem of this study are 1. What are the thematic roles in gospel of Luke of Tetun Belu. 2. How are thematic roles in Tetun Belu classified based on gospel of Luke. Therefore the aims of this research is to describe what are the thematic roles in gospel of Luke of Tetun Belu, and to explain the Tetun Belu classification based on thematic roles in gospel of Luke. All the gained data are classified and analysed using Descriptive qualitative Method. The research was conducted in following procedure; first the writer chose Gospel of luke, second the writer read it to describe the Thematic roles, based on their writer, third analysed the data, fourth, the writer classified the thematic roles based on thematic roles, and the last the writer reported the Result of data analyzed. The result of this research showed that there are thirteen Thematic roles in Gospel of Luke of Tetun Belu. They are: Agent, Experiencer, Recipient, Beneficiary, Instrument, Theme, Patients, Stimulus, location, Source, Goal, Path, Accompaniment. Related to the classification argument in gospel of Luke of Tetun Belu there are some of roles that become mark to add another arguments in a sentennce they are; Agent is relevant with patient such as, we dei, Yesus, hakerek nia. Experiencer is relevant with Goal: Yesus nare, bero mamuk rua, Yesus toba, Maria bena. Recepient is relevant with source: Maria, natudu laran di’ak, ema. Beneficiary Recepient is relevant with Location such as, Ema ida, Daud husar-binan, Lewi, Yesus. Instrument is relevant with Agent such as, Nia, ha’i, mina morin. Theme is o fiar ti’an, Fini nia. Patients is relevant with Agent: Ami, kfui bele-bele, Yesus, hakerek nia, tubi. Stimulus is relevant with Theme: kalo’an, sia. lia maliak, kalo’an. Location is relevant with Theme such as, ita, Betlehem, Yesus Debu boot Galilea tehen. Source is relevant with Agent such as, Nia, ha rai Galilea. Goal is relevant with source: leo Nasaret, iha rai Galilea, Nia, Yesus, sa’e bero. Path is relevant with Agent such as, na’i lulik, tuir nia, ema ida, fila baa, Nasaret. Accompaniment is relevant with Agent such as Maria, no Elisabet, no sia.
