Abstract

This research was aimed to analysis the types of Loan Words found in Bible Uab Meto Language, there are three types to be analyzed in this research; simple words, complex words, and translated words. The research is also aimed to find the most dominant types Loan Words in Bible Uab Meto Language. The research used descriptive qualitative method. A source data of this research is Bible Uab Meto especially in Gospel of John. Research intruments is the writer read and write Loan Words in the Bible Uab Meto, and documentation. In this research, the writer found of Loan Words fulfilled the three types of proposed by Samsuri teory. They were simple words, complex words and translated words. In simple words, the adaptation occurred in terms of spelling or pronunciation only, in this research there are 21 words of simple words. Meanwhile, the word belonged to complex words since the experienced changed in both spelling and pronunciation, there are 3 words of complex words. From the analysis of the data the writer found that the most types of loan words in Uab Meto Bible are Simple words. Last of all, the writer found 1 words of translated words. The translated word which from the foreign expression translated into Uab Meto Bible.
