Abstract
his study aims to improve the ability to recognize letters through the media of letter card games in Kindergarten Pniel Manutapen. This research is class action research, which was conducted in 2 cycles. Subjects in this study were children in Kindergarten Pniel Manutapen aged 5-6 years with a total of 14 children. Inner object of this research is the ability to recognize letters. Deep data collection techniques, this research is observation and documentation the research instrument used in the form of an observation guide. Data analysis technique using descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the ability to recognize letters can enhanced through the letter card media game. Children are invited to play letter cards, mention the letters on the card, mention the picture of the object then say the first letter. Ability to recognize letters in the Pre Cycle the average percentage just reached 40%, then in cycle 1 the average percentage increased to 50%, and the average percentage in Cycle 2 was able to increase up to 80%. Increase from Pre-Cycle to cycle 1 by 20%, and improvement from Cycle 1 to Cycle 2 by 80%.
