Abstract

This research was conducted with the title ''A Descriptive Study of Homonimyon Amanuban Dialect of Uab Meto.'' This study aims to the types of homonymy found in Amanuban Dialect of Uab Meto. This research uses descriptive qualitative research design. The instrument used to collect data was an in-depth interview with the community in Nekamese Village, Kie sub-district in analyzing the author's data using the theory of Homophone proposed by Saeed (2009:63). From the results of descriptive data, the author found types dialects of Uab Meto language. After describing Homonyms in the Uab Meto dialect, the author hopes that this research can provide information or knowledge about homonyms in the Uab Meto dialect for the community in Nekamese village, Kie subdistrict, south central Timor regency, must preserve the regional language as one of the cultural treasures that must be preserved.
