Abstract

The research problem of this study is what are parents role towards their children achievement in online learning process, and what are influence factors by parents towards their children achievement in online learning process. The purpose of this study is to find out parents’ role towards their children achievement in online learning process, and the influence factors by parents towards their children achievement in online learning process. This research is a qualitative research usingdescriptive approach. The subjects in this study were parents in blocks D and D1. Data collection weretaken through interviews and observations. The writer acts as a direct interviewer to explore data through parents in blocks D and D1. The results showed that parents’ role towards their children achievement in online learning process that is parentscarry out two roles at once, the first to be a parent and the second to be ahome teacher;provide facilities and infrastructure for children; givespirit; motivation; directing children according to their talents and interestseach child has. The influence factors by parents towards their children achievement in online learning process that is backgroundparental education affects the level of ease and difficulty of parentsin educating children; The economic level of parents affects the online learning process, especially in terms of facilitating online learningchild; difficulty dividing time between children and work; number offamily membersalso influences parents in providing guidance tochildren in learning at home.
