Abstract

The research problem of this study is what are the types of teaching strategies applied by an English teacher in the new normal era at SMPN Hoineno? The purpose of this study is to find out the types of teaching strategies applied by an English Teacher in a new normal era at that school. In this research, descriptive qualitative has been used as the method for describing the result which was taken from an English teacher at SMPN Hoineno. An observation checklist was used as the instrument to gain the data. The result shows that there are some strategies applied by the English teacher at SMPN Hoineno. Those strategies are (1) small group discussion, (2) question and answer, (3) exercises, and (4) picture.
